Use Tailorleaf in your AI app
Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and other AI apps to your resumes. Paste one address, sign in, and ask in your own words.
The address to paste
https://app.tailorleaf.com/mcp
Every app below asks for this address, then opens Tailorleaf's sign-in. You need a Tailorleaf account; the free trial works. There is no key to copy, and you can disconnect an app any time.

What you can ask
- "Add my new job at Northwind to my master resume: I lead a support team of six and cut first reply time to under an hour."
- "Here's a posting. Tailor my resume to it and give me a PDF."
- "Which bullets did Tailorleaf pick for the Fabrikam job? Swap the one about onboarding for my billing project."
- "Write a cover letter for the Acme job and keep it short."
- "Which jobs am I still waiting to hear back from?"
The app works with the same resumes, jobs and plan as Tailorleaf itself. Your master resume, your tailored resumes and your exports are all the same ones you see in Tailorleaf. Features that need a plan, such as rewording, cover letters and PDF export, need it here too.
Claude
Works on claude.ai, the Claude desktop app and, once added, the Claude mobile app. On the Free plan you can add one custom connector.
- Open Customize, then Connectors.
- Choose Add custom connector. Name it Tailorleaf and paste the address:
https://app.tailorleaf.com/mcp - If Claude asks how to sign in, keep Sign in now, and for the OAuth client choose Use Claude's published identity (or Register automatically; both work). Leave the client ID and secret empty.
- Choose Add, then Connect.
- A Tailorleaf window opens. Sign in the way you always do, check that it names the app you are connecting, and choose Allow.
- In a chat, open the + menu, then Connectors, and turn Tailorleaf on.
Team and Enterprise: an Owner adds it once under Organization settings, Connectors, Add, Custom (choose Web if asked), with the same address. Each person then finds Tailorleaf under Customize, Connectors and chooses Connect to sign in with their own Tailorleaf account.
Menus move from time to time. If yours look different, see the official guide.
ChatGPT
Custom connectors are on ChatGPT on the web, for paid plans. Connect on the web; OpenAI's guide lists what each plan allows (on some plans only the tools that read are available). In Business and Enterprise workspaces, an admin or owner may need to add it, or give you the right to.
- Open Plugins, choose the + button, then Add custom MCP server.
- Name it Tailorleaf. Under Connection, paste the address:
https://app.tailorleaf.com/mcp - For authentication, choose OAuth. Leave the client fields empty: ChatGPT registers itself.
- Read the warning, tick I understand and want to continue, and choose Create as a plugin.
- A Tailorleaf window opens. Sign in the way you always do, check that it names the app you are connecting, and choose Allow.
- In a new chat, type @ and pick Tailorleaf.
If you don't see Plugins: go to Settings, Apps, Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode. Back in Apps, choose Create app, paste the address, pick OAuth and create it. To use it, choose Developer mode in a chat's + menu and select Tailorleaf.
ChatGPT asks before it runs a tool that changes something, such as editing your resume. Check what it is about to do, then confirm.
Menus move from time to time. If yours look different, see the official guide.
Gemini
Connect on gemini.google.com in a browser; it then works in the Gemini mobile app too. Google offers custom apps to people 18 or over in the US, with a personal Google Account, in English, and with Keep Activity on.
- Open Settings, then Connected Apps (if you don't see it, open Personal Intelligence first).
- Under Custom apps, choose Add a custom app and paste the address:
https://app.tailorleaf.com/mcp - Choose Next. You don't need anything under Advanced features.
- A Tailorleaf window opens. Sign in the way you always do, check that it names the app you are connecting, and choose Allow.
- In a chat, type @ and pick Tailorleaf.
Menus move from time to time. If yours look different, see the official guide.
Claude Code
- In a terminal, run:
claude mcp add --transport http tailorleaf https://app.tailorleaf.com/mcp - In Claude Code, type
/mcp, pick tailorleaf and choose to authenticate. Your browser opens Tailorleaf's sign-in. - Choose Allow. Tailorleaf warns that the app runs on your computer; that's expected for Claude Code.
Menus move from time to time. If yours look different, see the official guide.
Gemini CLI
Google moved free and Google One users from Gemini CLI to Antigravity CLI in June 2026. If that's you, see Other apps below.
- Run:
or add it togemini mcp add --transport http tailorleaf https://app.tailorleaf.com/mcp~/.gemini/settings.jsonyourself:{ "mcpServers": { "tailorleaf": { "httpUrl": "https://app.tailorleaf.com/mcp" } } } - In Gemini CLI, run
/mcp auth tailorleaf. Your browser opens Tailorleaf's sign-in; choose Allow.
Menus move from time to time. If yours look different, see the official guide.
VS Code
- Open the Command Palette and run MCP: Add Server. Pick HTTP (HTTP or Server-Sent Events), paste the address, name it tailorleaf and choose where to keep it (Global, for every project). Or add it to a workspace's
.vscode/mcp.json:{ "servers": { "tailorleaf": { "type": "http", "url": "https://app.tailorleaf.com/mcp" } } } - When VS Code first starts the server it asks you to sign in. Accept, then choose Allow on Tailorleaf's page.
- Use it from Copilot Chat in agent mode.
Menus move from time to time. If yours look different, see the official guide.
Cursor
- Add it to
~/.cursor/mcp.json:{ "mcpServers": { "tailorleaf": { "url": "https://app.tailorleaf.com/mcp" } } } - In Cursor's settings, under MCP, sign in to tailorleaf when it asks, and choose Allow on Tailorleaf's page.
Menus move from time to time. If yours look different, see the official guide.
Other apps
Any app that connects to remote MCP servers over HTTP with sign-in can use Tailorleaf. Paste https://app.tailorleaf.com/mcp wherever it asks for a server URL and leave any client ID, client secret or API key empty: the app finds the sign-in by itself.
For developers: streamable HTTP at https://app.tailorleaf.com/mcp; OAuth 2.1 discovery at /.well-known/oauth-protected-resource and /.well-known/oauth-authorization-server; dynamic client registration and client ID metadata documents; authorization code with PKCE (S256); scope resume. Access lasts an hour and renews with a refresh token.
Disconnect
In Tailorleaf, open AI apps and choose Disconnect next to the app. It stops at once, and your resumes stay as they are. You can also remove the connector in the AI app.
If something goes wrong
- The app can't reach the server: check the address is exactly
https://app.tailorleaf.com/mcp, with nothing after/mcp. - The sign-in says it expired: go back to the app and connect again. A sign-in waits ten minutes.
- A tool says a feature needs a plan, or a limit was reached: that's the same message Tailorleaf shows in the app. Plan and billing has the details.
- Still stuck: email support@tailorleaf.com with the app you're using.
Your data
When you ask the AI app about your resume, it receives what it reads from Tailorleaf, and the app's maker handles that under its own terms. Tailorleaf only gives the app your own account's data, and only while it stays connected. See our privacy policy.
