Dear Ledgerly hiring team,
I'm applying for the senior billing engineer role. For the last four years at Harbor Pay I've worked on billing and payments end to end: I moved 40 billing services to Postgres with no downtime, rebuilt the invoice screen in React and TypeScript, and own the on-call rotation for the payments team.
Your posting asks for Postgres at scale and TypeScript. Both are what I work in every day. Before Harbor Pay, at Fieldnote, I wrote the Go service that syncs 2 million records a night and moved the API from a single VM to Docker containers, which halved our deploy time.
One honest gap: I haven't run Kubernetes in production. I know containers well, and I'd expect to come up to speed on your cluster quickly, but I'd rather say so than pad the resume.
I'd be glad to talk about how you run billing today and where it hurts. Thank you for reading.
